Growing up as an immigrant child, I often found myself in the role of a translator for my parents. This is a big issue for most immigrant families and individuals alike. I have definitely felt their pain when I go abroad and can’t speak the language. It feels like you’re mute.
But luckily I built a tool that just let’s them take a picture of their whatever they want to read, select their language of choice and start asking questions. WhatLetter
Figured I’m not the only one who deals with this problem. My parent’s have been using it for a while now which has reduced my phone calls with them to actually good conversations vs “Hey what does this say” or freaking out about Credit Card offers lol. However, given there’s so much software in the world, I’m not too sure about how to make this grow and make it profitable. As a young entrepreneur I’m trying to stay in the arena until I can figure it out.
Feel free to give me some feedback and maybe ways that have worked to grow software products for consumers. In this case, target audience who won’t find this on their own.

    I see your points.

    • Privacy:
      • would you feel more comfortable if we described what data is actually stored? We currently just store the chat conversation for users to see later.
      • Email for login and nothing else.
    • Visual guide: On the landing page there’s an entire video in the hero section showing how to do it step by step. Was that not clear at your first glance?
    • demographic wise, i have left it broad since I’m not sure as this works on any type of data. Should I still write more clear examples?
