I 24F am starting a business in the clothing industry. I have absolutely NO support and I don’t know what I’m doing. I need help! The guy working in my website is WAITING ON ME for the photos but I keep second guessing myself because I don’t know how to do this. Because he’s waiting on me I it’s causing me anxiety galore. Ever since I’ve attempted starting my husband has been telling me not to do it and it has destroyed my self esteem Im in the need of more money and my husband has it but won’t allow me to have it. I have enough to pay the guy and start listing. But I don’t know what looks professional. I just need someone in my family to give me their time! Maybe some faith too. Does anyone have suggestions on what my next step is??
If you need time and money and faith from other people, you’re not ready to do this.
You want to be a business owner? It’s ALL on you. You have to do it yourself, regardless of the help, or lack of help, from anyone else. Owning a business is HARD.
You want to succeed. Make decisions. Hard ones. Get to work. Do SOMETHING. Stop whining, complaining and feeling bad for yourself, it won’t help you at all. Anxiety in the way? Better suck it the fuck up, anxiety ain’t got no place in being a business owner. If you can’t figure out your anxiety, maybe you should work for someone else in a low stress job, because being a business owner isn’t ever low stress.
Preach. I am a former small business owner and my business failed after 3 years of busting my ass and sucking it up. Guess what, you still gotta suck it up for the rest of your life after that too. It never stops.
This person already has her scapegoats lined up. If only her husband had thrown more good money after her bad ideas maybe a miracle would have happened and she would be rich and famous.
Or you know, the guy with money knows how to make money and sees this entire thing as a farce. It’s not the pictures being good enough it’s just another escape hatch excuse on this sinking ship of an idea.
Yea, that’s a good way of putting it. It really is lining up excuses for why she failed ahead of time.
Not a good mentality to have for a business owner.
