Hello folks.
Its not fun to write this.
I purchased machinery to start a business months ago (High end Letterpress Stationery) and up until now I still dont have a website running and the business havent started yet.
I work 9-5 and try to tell myself I will work on the business after hours but never do, it fucks me up to know that the reality is that I am the one to blame here on why the business has not lauched yet.
I have the machinery, the name, the place, the skills and the idea.
I do not have a logo, a website, a marketing plan and a single sale (and the motivation).
I am not looking for solutions, I just want to open for discussion and hear stories of people that struggled the same way and how you managed to keep the ball bouncing.
Thanks in advance.
If you’re working 9-5 and your business doesn’t have customers, what the heck are you doing?
Also, don’t expect that owning a business is a 9-5 job, especially starting a new business.
The only thing you should be working on right now is getting customers. Nothing else comes close to mattering. Make calls, see faces, build a web landing page with a contact number, network, get word out to everyone all the time, create promotional materials…
Keep your job. Forget about starting a business. Seriously.
When I encounter an issue like this, I usually delegate it to others, lol. It helps kickstart things and simplifies the process. Sometimes it’s also because we’re a bit apprehensive.
Starting with tasks like working on your logo and branding can boost your motivation and make everything feel more tangible. Why do I suggest this? Not because we’re offering it, but because that’s what most clients tell us.
