Hello,

We run a small shop where we sell product by weight. We currently use a POS provided by an IT company, which charges absurd amounts of money for a pretty bad application.

We were thinking about changing to a “DIY” solution if you will. We have been looking in to POS suppliers such as lightspeed, square, etc. but while our current solution isn’t perfect, it provides some things that we really value:

• We have scales that are used to automatically deduct from inventory when sale is finalized

• We also book new inventory using the scales

• We take payments by card, cash, bank, and would like to possibly add crypto in the future

• Every employee has their own page, so that we can see at what time they started and finished.

• We are located in Europe.

• We are not interested in paying fees over transactions or anything like that.

However, we don’t have any tools to check inventory over the web, etc., so all of this is currently done manually

So my question is, which POS provide the above bulletins, scale integration bring the most important.

Sorry if the post is a bit specific, hopefully others can benefit from this however. Looking forward to replies!

You can start with square, it’s very easy to setup and it has no fixed term contract and see if you like it. Square has inventory management, payroll and much more. As you scale you can explore other options.
