Hello… I am a single employee s-corp in New York for the last 34 years and have dealt with the craziness of health insurance for micro corporations especially starting in 2010… Now along with others in this state our health insurance premiums are going up 26% this year (increase $3,600 for the year)… I am not going to complain about this insanity of this predictable situation but I am looking for options that other small micro corporations are using. All the local chamber of commerces in the area are now offloading that service to a local broker and you are paying their fees so no benefit there like there used to be… right now I am getting insurance through the NY exchange but it really does not matter where you get it from since the pricing is basically the same.

kinda feel trapped here. any thoughts? thanks all

I can’t speak for NY, but I went with a small group plan designed for smaller groups. I had shopped around and the advisor I’m using helped me with the group plan. It’s been pretty consistent.
