Hi all,

I’ve been part of a few startups as a web developer over the past few years. Most of them had about 20 employees when I joined and had just finished raising an alpha round of capital.

I’m wondering how I can find even earlier stage startups? Something where I could be considered a founder.

I’ve tried looking around the web and contacting local business groups but haven’t had any luck.

    > alpha round of capital

For starters, avoid saying things like this, especially if you are native English speaker…

Networking, having beast skills and personality compatibilities etc. I started a tech start up couple months ago. Aggressively moving this heavy bolder over the hill.

What are the fundamentals you are looking ? What makes you want to invest ? Does it has to be a B dollar market ?

Go to Ramp, create a list of venture capital funds, Google the funds. Many lost their portfolio companies job openings. Otherwise you can just brute force and search each portfolio company manually to see if they’re hiring.

    You could also ask chatgpt

I also found it annoying how hard it was to find a decent list of new startups, so I started a project to monitor startups that raise money: www.rivadata.com - has company descriptions, funding round info (seed, pre-seed is probably <20 emp), job links, basic keyword/location filters and alerts. Still working out some data kinks but maybe it’s interesting for folks here.
