Cheaper Call forwarding Alternative

I am travelling to a different country but I don’t want to miss important calls. I want my calls to be redirected to the a new number in the new country without anyone calling me knowing it so that it looks like I am still in my country Canada. Please help!

You said cheaper alternative, cheaper to what?

Most cell phones natively allow call forwarding, last I checked that doesn’t show to the caller?
