Created a nerdy blog website… got it profitable… hit was making like $1 or less an hour. Sold it for $1000.

Then started woodworking… small projects. Paid all my tools off (probably ~1500) .

From there I bought a CNC machine and did cnc woodworking… probably made over 10k profit (paid off machine and more) but still hourly rate was pretty low.

Started social media management business. Been doing this for about a year now - making anywhere between $1000-2200/month. Hourly rate is quite good. Looking to slowly scale it more and take on more clients.

Video Editing business which is on hiatus until January next year

Ecommerce. Made $500k. Sold it. It still exists over 10 years later.

I had an Amazon store. Username still active, no listings for 10+ years now. Made $5k-ish. Enough to float me until I found my next major project. Became too time consuming and difficult to source product with decent margin. It’s nothing compared to most in this forum, but we all have to start somewhere!

Gonna start my own for the very first time now. Nervous , anxious and excited!

I sold candy / snacks in high school & had about 7 other people selling for me as well. I would gross $400-$500 a week with about 80-90% profit margins. I’m convinced I will never have a more fun job than running a candy empire for one year in high school

My first business was a blog i created when i was a kid.

It was a site called board game reviews.

I only started this because I played a game of monopoly and this nade me think I was this guru now and that I love board gsmes…

I slowly began to realize how boring this was once I started playing and reviewing more games

I also had no idea about SEO and how to grow the blog at the time so I was getting no traffic

So I called it quits

6 years later, i started another blog/newsletter that curates successful B2B Marketing Examples .

I’ve always been interested in how to turn content into a profitable business, but never found my true passion until recently.

My first big success was comparegamehosting.com. Ended up selling it in 2019 and since then iv known that it had gone through at least 3 different owners other than me.

Tech company. Didn’t work out, sold it. The company is now selling auto parts.

Made around 2k€ with it or around 1-2€/h. Would be better off just getting a job.

It bombed. Turned out none of my neighbours wanted to buy individual crayons, not even from a five-year-old’s crayon kiosk. Had slightly better luck with the toothpick doll stand years later. Better location. Seriously, though, as an adult my partner and I had a little language school that paid the bills.

Was the original founder and inventor, got a business partner involved to invest. He took over bullied me out after I said I wouldn’t sleep with him, pretty much got legally scammed. Looks like two other investors came in to help and figured him out and he ended up resiging as director. Now its been folded. My products did get into supermarkets so that was nice if anything. But that’s what happens when a man who knows nothing about my product, has little interest in it and its target audience comes in and trys to do it himself.

Onboarding platform focused on mobile. Sold it.

I have had some side hustles. One was a crypto e-commerce store. Think tee shirts, mugs, etc. When Bitcoin prices went down, so merchandise sales so I just closed shop then.

Now I am getting ready to quit my job to start my first full time business. This one will be a local service business.

I started my first business in 6th grade flipping basketball cards at the lunchroom table (and got suspended 🤣). I expanded into autographs and memorabilia by 8th grade and then into collectable card games in high school. Cashed out of the whole inventory and walked away when I went to college. This was the 90s. Still have a huge box of common MTG cards in storage I think
