It was a normal night for me as I had just gotten home from school and did my usual smoke session.
Except something wasn’t so normal.
I was about to do something that I have despised my entire life in school.
I was about to read a book.
This wasn’t just any book though.
This was “Think and Grow Rich,” By Napoleon Hill.
I thought this book would be the stepping stone to my success.
As I am reading I get about half a page down and I zone out.
I catch myself zoning out so I come back to reading.
But I had forgotten what I had just read so I had to reread it.
I would make it down the page a little bit farther and my mind would wander.
I couldn’t focus for shit.
It was a struggle trying to even read a book, but I knew that is what it was going to take.
So, I set myself a goal.
I will read at least a few pages every day.
The first few days go by, and I have surprisingly stuck to my goal.
But then the next few days go by, and I completely forgot about the book.
Didn’t want to read because “that’s just not who I am.”
In all reality I didn’t even have the mental clarity to read a book.
I couldn’t sit down and focus on reading the book.
And hell, I couldn’t even discipline myself to read a few pages every night.
That is why I would have never gotten rich living that Life.
Living a life controlled by weed.
Because I didn’t have these three crucial things that 99% of rich people have.
I didn’t have:
Mental Clarity
Focus
Discipline
If you want to get rich you need to have the mental clarity to do the work that needs done.
You need to be able to focus on the work that needs to get done.
And most of all you need to be able to do the hard work especially when you don’t feel like it.
I had none of those.
And people can say all they want “Don’t blame the weed, It is your fault.”
But I beg to differ.
I had all three of those things before I ever started smoking but as time went on and I was smoking I slowly lost them.
But It didn’t feel like I had lost them.
Because I felt so “normal” since I was high all the time.
No matter what you think weed is holding you back from getting rich.
It is stopping your growth and your potential.
T
hat is just three main reasons it will stop you, but I could list hundreds more.
But anyways.
I hope the person reading this takes it to heart because I definitely needed to see this even if I would have disagreed with it.
If you have quit weed, are quitting weed, or still smoking weed DM me or comment below. I would love to have a chat.
As Always,
Quit Weed. Dream Big. Get Rich.
OP’ s story is just very specific to their situation. But what I got from it is that essentially you need to get rid of any habits that stunts your progress on the way to build the kind of life you want for yourself
