I own a hair salon. Typically, November is my busiest season. It has been SO quiet. A lot of my colleagues are also saying the same thing and have had to close up shop because of it - or get a second job.
People keep saying it will get better and the economy will bounce back but I don’t know. I am so close from just throwing in the towel, closing up shop and getting a corporate gig.
I’m in the painting business and almost every owner I know is absolutely dead. If I didn’t have my apartment repaint contracts I would be too
My dads a drywall finisher in South Jersey and said work dried right up , usually busier after everyone goes home with people needing to fix or renovate but they haven’t found work in a few weeks
Has he budged on his rates at all to help secure work?
Considering how broke they always are, I doubt it. But he will usually trade for crack.
Probably too far of a commute but I know someone in Union county NJ that needs a drywall finisher to finish his basement (70 sheets) if he is that desperate for work right now.
I have been working on making a full proof Painting management system (With Sherwin Williams Integration) for my painting client in MN. since last 4 years i have been watching their financials goes down but this year its almost dead. No good leads to warm them up !
