TL;DR : Want to become independent, gradually!

Given the above goal , I will provide my “CV” in a concise manner. Really appreciate your thoughts and help.

Skills :- Coding: WebDev (Backend heavy APIs, Data etc; Frontend decent with React); Python - Data Science; Machine Learning; Web scraping; Data Manipulation and Visualization (have done plenty of plotting ;) )

- Teaching: (Math & basics of programming): High school ; University (Bachelors) ; Can simplify and explain stuff very well.

- Thinking: Yes, I consider myself a good thinker. I break complex stuff, make it simpler, brainstorm well almost any idea (out of my specific fields)

Credentials : ex-IT, all degrees in Computer Science from premium institutes (incl. Ph.D.)

Clarification : I know it doesn’t have to, but just in case it looks weird that with all the “buzz” words, I am still writing here instead of looking for a fancy tech job out there :

- By choice, I had come out of private IT/tech life and moved into research

- I like my research, unfortunately it just doesn’t pay enough leaving me wanting a tiny bit more (but not as much as an AI/M role in a tech company pays)

- Besides my job, I already use the above skills I mentioned, mostly for free, to help friends’ start-up ideas, for people I know.

Finally, I want to gradually become independent. I believe I can continue my research with half the time and sustain something using the skills I mentioned above for the rest. But I don’t know how do I label my “value addition” ? From a strictly entrepreneur point of view, I do have ideas that I work on, but none ready enough to bite the bullet and pursue. And like I said, I do like some near-term cash flow as opposed to diving all-in into building an idea.

I won’t be surprised if this request comes out as unrealistic or bizarre, but in the off chance that someone relates to this, appreciate the help!

Thanks for your time!
