My accountant does it for $250 a month (payroll, tax deposits, quarterly) is that too much?
I see horror stories with Gusto and Quickbooks, but it’s much cheaper. What’s a good price?
I’ve been using Gusto for years and it’s been the best experience compared to an accountant, and several other payroll services, I even ran my own payroll for a while. The conversion to Gusto was super easy but I will say it is much easier to switch at the end of a quarter. If you want a discount, you can use my referral link - I think we each get $100 - https://gusto.com/i/dale545
I use ADP and have never had an issue in 4 years. $110/month for 3 employees (biweekly)
I spend $550 for payroll and bookkeeping a month.
Check ADP, Paychex, etc for cost of their services. Most have call in payroll service.
Those are the 3 I would avoid.
We’ve been using Gusto for 6 years and it’s been good. Some ups and downs but generally user friendly!
How many employees? Which pay cycle?
Gusto is good.
Gusto is what I have my clients use. It’s the better version of PayChex.
Quickbooks is okay, but I don’t recommend it. It doesn’t scale well
how many employees?
Gusto is really great for many reasons: Easy to use Clean Userface Tax Reminders Simple Breakdowns Cost Effective Easy for employees to access their files especially around tax time. Less headaches for employer
it all depends on how many paychecks…$250 is about average, but the reward is YOU dont have to worry about taxes, mainly out W9/W2 etc…
I was using QB Payroll for a long time. I switched to Gusto because I thought I’d save money and it would make my life easier. I made a mistake with filing something during Covid so it triggered me to make a change It hasn’t. Gusto actually cost me some money because I filed some last minute payroll in 2022 which should have counted in 2022 but they applied to 2023 which trigger a mess for me to fix and cost me money. They offered bad support and in general was shit.
I use an “old” version of QB Payroll so I can’t go back, but I don’t think Gusto is anything special at all. If I could go back to QB Desktop, I would.
No experience as an owner, but as someone who’s received payroll through Gusto it was a good experience.
Chiming in to say I really enjoy Gusto despite any horror stories.
We’ve used Paychex for 20+ years. 5-10 employees. Currently $170 per month with 8 employees
