If there’s a better place for this post please point me in the right direction.

TLDR; My team of 3 have been developing an app. This only includes 1 dev that also works full time, this is not sustainable of course. What solutions would you suggest for a small startup?

Basically our only dev works full time on top of building and keeping our app up to date. We’re still in beta and constantly fixing issues / finding bugs so we need someone on call basically 12 hours a day.

We would love to hire someone but we can only offer ownership in the company as we’re not pulling revenue and in early stages. We also would only want to give ownership to someone we feel shares are same goals so this adds issues to this route.

Fiver and other freelance seems like a mess and a poor idea all around. And navigating all the third party services is giving me a headache…

Has anyone been in my position and or have a solid reason why one way is best?

Any tips would help, thank you!

You’re not going to find someone without a full time job for just equity. People need to eat and pay rent

What you need is unit and e2e tests to ensure your project is stable, allowing for your one dev to only work after hours

I’ve been in the mobile app game for around 13 years now. DM me if you need some tips or need any help.

Why not using no-code technologies? With stuff like Bubble or Softr you can build great products and you don’t need to hire someone!
