So I’ve been trying to sell my resin art online for a while now and have only sold two pieces. A bookmark on Etsy and a ring on eBay. My mom just started making knitted baby blankets a couple of months ago and hasn’t sold anything (they are really cute blankets too). I post mine and my mom’s stuff on facebook, instagram and twitter to try and make sales, but it’s not working. Are we doing something wrong? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Its not easy - get inventory made between now and spring, then find an arts & crafts faire nearby and get a booth - that will give you an idea of how sellable your items are.

I would do the craft fair where I live, but it’s pretty small. I don’t think I’d do very well.

Unfortunately resin art is easy to learn and oversaturated in the craft space. There are 313,744 results on etsy of current resin art projects for sale. What sets what you apart from your competition? You need to do something unique.

Craft fairs and getting a bigger inventory is also a good idea. Perhaps offer to teach resin art in people’s homes for a fee.

Most of the resin I do has hand painted work on it. I even use real crushed gems that my dad brings home from work in some of my resin.

The town I live is pretty small, so our craft fair isn’t very big and I can’t afford to travel to somewhere else + rent a booth.

Offering to teach resin art is a neat idea.
