I started a web design service and was looking for tips to seek businesses outside my area.

I have business cards and marketing post cards to hand out to local businesses.

Should I mail info to businesses outside my area that I think need a site. Or cold call them and request to send my info via mail & email.

Any other ideas would be so helpful!

    Sounds like a Lead Generation problem. you need a Lead Magnet and a way to convert that traffic. Make your offer compelling because I get a billion calls for SEO and Web Development (dont know if that is what you do exactly).
