I’ve started a small e-commerce business selling specialty products from Mongolia. Currently I have about 100 orders monthly in the winter season which I can manage on my own, but I’m looking into 3PLs in the US for two reasons – 1. to reduce shipping time; and 2. to reduce shipping costs (90% of customers are in North America, and I am shipping everything to them from Mongolia).

ShipBob and ShipMonk both have monthly minimums that are slightly above my volume. I signed up with Flexport, but they charge $6.59 in fulfillment fees for the smallest and lightest items. Is that just what the market is supporting right now, or are there cheaper decent 3PL options for a small-volume business? (I’ve sent queries to Simpl and ShipHero and waiting to hear back).
