Okay we have a great location picked: only drive thru one a major commuter road w/ space for a small retail shop inside. I have a great supplier who works with other small coffee shops in the state. I have the plans laid out and everyone thinks its great idea.

But for renovations/supplies/ect its coming out 300k. Is that a horrible idea?

I have reached out to local agencies and haven’t found grants and I don’t feel comfortable asking family.

I’m torn between you only live once/this is my dream and omg I want to throw up.

I took a quick look at your previous comments on Reddit - this stuck out to me:

16k in debt for a degree in political science and journalism, all federal. now I work for a non-profit and hoping they get forgiven 🤞

edit: I make 40k a year and with living in a rural area that’s thankfully just enough to get by while payback is on hold

No offense meant by this, but you will not got a loan without collateral and putting up a significant amount of your own money so you can pretty much move on. If you are looking to start your own biz why not try a coffee cart type establishment/mobile coffee mobile to start?
