I’ve heard many people talk about building in public at the start to get potential users interested, but i’m not a tech guy and I dont know what sort of content to post to ‘build in public’. Should it be content that my staff (developers) are working on?

And I feel a little awkward reaching out to friends that I have not contacted in awhile, who do you guys usually contact to get beta testers for your startup?

For context: I’m building an app that helps beginners learn how to code

Normally, I send them links for the waitlist which is my friends, and then I also meet people and pitch the idea to them and see if they are interested. it is more of finding the people who are going to be my customers than getting a few of them to sign up.
