I’ve heard many people talk about building in public at the start to get potential users interested, but i’m not a tech guy and I dont know what sort of content to post to ‘build in public’. Should it be content that my staff (developers) are working on?

And I feel a little awkward reaching out to friends that I have not contacted in awhile, who do you guys usually contact to get beta testers for your startup?

For context: I’m building an app that helps beginners learn how to code

build in public doesn’t have to be technical. You can show all kinds of stuff. If you’re building a course, try posting about what content goes into it and why. Ask for feedback on your idea, find out what people would like to see in such course, etc.

I would only contact friends if they’re you’re ideal customer. If they’re just doing it to be nice, it’s no use for both of you
