Hello All,
I have been floating around this idea in my head a little bit now. Being a chef and in the industry for some time now, I see the amount of bottles and glass in use throughout my province of Ontario and Canada in general.
I’ve recently stumbled on a YouTube video of someone turning recycled bottles into Sand. With the words shortage of sand, it seems like a very niche market to get into.
Now my question is it viable in Ontario? or Canada in general as a small business to scale up and work into a proper warehouse business turning out Sand for places like Construction companies to use and anything else that may be viable with it
Sand =/= sand.
People don’t realize it, but the shortages of sand are the right type of sand, in the right places.
It is a matter of cost. Find out where you can sell the “sand” to at what price, then how much recycling bottles priced. Construction use of sand is typically priced lower than cement. Low price material has large proportion price in transportation, therefore it is location dependent.
